Research: Before doing anything, I conducted research. My assigned letters of “ignite” were “e, g, n” so I discovered many different fonts that I thought looked good on those letters. I also researched which color palettes would evoke a feeling of “ignite” as well as finding textures and pictures that evoked that feeling.

Process: Once I had conducted my initial research, I created preliminary thumbnail sketches. From these thumbnails stemmed the next step. I created rough drafts using markers in order to get an understanding of what the final products might look like.

Final Project: For the final project, two of my typographic forms were made in Adobe Photoshop. Utilizing multiple tools in the program, I was able to create the “n” and the “g” pieces. For the “e”, I used a brush pen for the dark letterform and utilized markers to create the rest of the piece.
